Hearts rules

Avoid hearts and the queen of spades. Lowest score wins.

Play Hearts

How to play

  1. Each of four players receives 13 cards. Pass three cards left, right, across, then hold on every fourth deal.
  2. The two of clubs leads. Follow suit. The first trick cannot contain a heart or the queen of spades.
  3. Hearts cannot be led until broken, unless the player holds only hearts.
  4. Each heart scores one penalty point and the queen of spades scores 13. Shooting the moon gives the other players 26. The game ends when someone reaches 100; lowest score wins.
